Billing that speaks up

Receipts, failed-payment alerts, plan and seat changes reach Owners the way they asked. Loop in a bookkeeper with no account needed. The assistant opens fresh.

Money moved in silence. A renewal charge, a declined card, a plan or seat change and a cancellation now each produce a notification — and a record you can look back on.

Billing events tell you

  • Renewal receipts — a successful charge sends a receipt naming the amount, the plan and the billing period. Free-tier $0 invoices and prorations stay quiet.
  • Failed-payment alerts — a declined card notifies Owners and billing recipients right away, instead of surfacing days later as things that quietly stop working. Sent once per episode, not once per retry.
  • Plan, seat and cancellation notices — a change made in the app notifies everyone except the person who made it; a change made from the Stripe portal notifies everyone.
  • Billing email recipients — under Settings → Billing, an Owner can nominate up to 10 extra addresses for billing mail. No account, no Owner privileges, and each address is sent separately so recipients never see each other.
  • Billing mail always looks like Loquent — never your organization’s logo, accent or signature, so a real invoice can never be mistaken for a message to one of your Contacts. Auto-recharge receipts follow the same rule now.
  • Fixed: Owners who sign in with Google or Microsoft never received notification email. They receive it now.
  • Fixed: muting one notification category silently reset the others. Each toggle now affects only itself.

Not in this release: a card-expiring-soon warning. It is tracked as a follow-up.

The assistant opens fresh

  • A clean canvas every visit — a login, a refresh or a return from checkout used to silently resume your most recent conversation. The panel now opens empty, with the previous session offered back as a one-tap Continue chip showing its title and when you last used it. Nothing is deleted; a conversation in progress still survives closing the panel and moving around the app.
  • The welcome flow is reachable again — it had been skipped for anyone with a prior session.
