AI engine upgrade

The engine behind every teammate turn, phone call and assistant reply moved up four versions with nothing changing for your Contacts. Connected tools are now bounded.

  • reliability
  • ai-teammates
  • mcp

An engine release. Nothing your Contacts see changes; what changes is how safely a turn fails. It shipped on its own, apart from the morning’s billing release, so it could be rolled back independently.

Safer turns

  • A cut-off reply is never sent twice — when a turn runs out of room mid-flight, it is now caught and handled instead of re-running and re-delivering a message the Contact already received.
  • Withdrawn text is never spoken — a retry signal the old engine swallowed is now honored, so a voice teammate cannot say, and a thread cannot keep, something the model took back.
  • Connected tools are bounded — an external tool (MCP) call now times out cleanly at five minutes instead of hanging the rest of the turn, image results no longer crowd out the text beside them, and a failed connection can no longer leak part of that tool’s credentials into a conversation or log. Affects only organizations with a connected tool.
  • Thinking budgets unchanged, deliberately — every model-call budget was set explicitly and verified identical across the upgrade, so no teammate thinks less than it did before.
