Texting and contact intelligence

Text messages join calls in one unified feed, contacts gain memory, tags, and a CRM-style view, and agent instructions can be generated and refined by AI.

Thirty-one changes shipped in this release — the largest so far. Loquent started handling text messages alongside calls, contacts stopped being a name and a number, and writing agent instructions became something you can do in plain language.

Text messaging

  • One communication feed — every text and call with a contact in a single chronological view, grouped by date.
  • Chat-style reading — outbound and inbound messages aligned like a conversation rather than a log.
  • Compose in place — send a message from the feed without leaving the conversation.
  • Calls in the same feed — call cards sit inline with collapsible transcription and analysis.
  • Filter the view — switch between all activity, calls, or messages.
  • Delivery status — inbound messages arrive in real time and delivery updates land automatically.
  • Built to extend — the architecture is channel-agnostic, with social and email planned.

Contact intelligence

  • A CRM-style contact view — a three-column layout with quick actions, tags, and phone and email management on the left, a unified activity timeline in the center, and notes and todos on the right.
  • Memory across calls — after each call a structured interaction note is written to the contact, and a single synthesized memory note is injected into the agent’s context before every conversation.
  • Tags, applied automatically — a color-coded tag library, with the AI applying relevant tags after a call, suggesting new ones, flagging outdated ones, and recording the reasoning in the timeline.
  • Notes — free-text notes with markdown, with AI-authored notes clearly labeled.

Agent configuration

  • Generate instructions from a description — describe what the agent should do in plain language and get a structured prompt.
  • One-click refinements — improve, shorten, adjust tone, add examples, fix issues, strengthen safety, add personality, or weave in your organization profile.
  • See what changed — a current-versus-original view, with instant revert.
  • Organization profile — business name, industry, timezone, address, description, hours, and contact details, used to ground instructions in your real business.
  • Per-agent tools — enable or disable transfer, caller lookup, and knowledge queries per agent.

Calls

  • Cold transfer — an agent can hand an active call to a person mid-conversation.
  • End call — an agent can hang up, waiting for the farewell to finish playing first.
  • Correct lifecycle — calls move from in-progress to completed when the call ends rather than after transcription, with duration captured from the recording callback.

Dashboard

  • Time range filtering — today, yesterday, the last 7, 30, or 90 days, all time, or a custom range, on both the dashboard and call history.
  • Adaptive charts — the activity chart changes granularity to match the selected range.
